Material as a Shared Foundation

Throughout the entire building, a combination of two key materials defines the character of the interior. Plywood brings warmth, a natural texture, and a unifying element. Hot-dip galvanized steel, on the other hand, ensures durability and meets the demands of a sports environment. Light also plays an important role, creating subtle textures within the interior and transforming the perception of materials throughout the day.

Gym

The gym on the top floor embraces the openness of the space and offers views over the city. The plywood cladding serves multiple functions at once, integrating storage, doors, and technical elements while maintaining visual order. The staircase continues this approach, following the same design principle. As a result, the space feels cohesive and does not disrupt the large open area.

VIP Skyboxes

The arena includes 32 VIP skyboxes located around the perimeter of the building. Each of them has direct contact with the façade and a view into the arena space.

The design of the tables reflects this context. Each piece was custom-made to match the specific curvature, meaning the individual tables vary slightly from one another. Structurally, they are based on our metalwork and complement the character of the space without unnecessary dominance.

Player Locker Rooms

Locker rooms for the senior team, youth players, and visiting clubs are designed with a focus on durability and everyday use. The hot-dip galvanized steel structure is complemented by plywood and practical details. The equipment also includes mobile elements, such as rolling carts, developed based on real user needs.

Artist Dressing Rooms

The artist facilities offer a calmer atmosphere with an emphasis on privacy. Plywood units are complemented by mirrors with appropriate lighting and work surfaces. The material palette follows the rest of the interior, while the overall expression is more restrained and enclosed.

Hotel Area

The arena also includes 29 hotel rooms. The interior works with a more subdued atmosphere and a greater emphasis on light, which shapes the surfaces and complements the material concept, remaining consistent with the rest of the building. The combination of plywood and steel is enriched with additional furnishing elements.

We delivered the complete interior, including beds, built-in furniture, bathrooms, sliding doors, and sanitary equipment.

Reception, Kids’ Area and Other Spaces

The reception of the sports section makes use of natural light, which reflects on the surface of the plywood desk and creates a changing pattern throughout the day. The kids’ area is an atypical space located beneath the staircase. Here, the plywood is complemented by softer forms and rounded edges. In the Hall of Fame, we created metal structures for display boxes, along with other custom-made elements. The project also included coordinated installations, such as lighting in the shape of the Dukla Jihlava logo.
