Hospimed Praha
We have completed the interior furnishing for Hospimed’s newly constructed building.
The project focused primarily on office spaces, aiming to bring all company departments together under one roof – including facilities for service technicians. Since they use the offices only part of the week, an open-space area with shared workstations was created for them. The remaining parts of the building were allocated to the company’s partner firms.
Equipment and Materials
The dominant element of the interior is the SET-UP furniture line, used primarily for approximately 80 height-adjustable workstations. The tabletops were made from high-quality compact laminate with a black core, known for its exceptional resistance to disinfectants and acids – a material typically used in laboratory environments. This material was also applied in an unconventional way on the kitchenette cabinet doors, giving the interior a distinctive character.
The workstations are divided by natural birch plywood partitions, providing the necessary privacy while harmonizing aesthetically with the overall design of the space.
Individual Approach
The investor had a clear vision from the very beginning – from the number of workstations and storage capacity to the choice of materials. As all components were custom-made, the complete implementation took nearly three months.
We have been working with Hospimed, a company that supplies medical technology to hospitals and catering facilities, for over 15 years. We greatly appreciate the trust they placed in us by assigning us this project.
Design Solution for Meeting Rooms
Special attention was given to the meeting rooms, each with an irregular floor plan and slanted walls. For these spaces, we designed custom-shaped wall panels that correspond with the building’s exterior cladding. The panels are acoustically perforated and veneered, complemented by a bespoke conference table that mirrors the shape of the room. These meeting rooms are located on every floor – three in total.
In the VIP management offices, we used a combination of natural veneers – American walnut and bleached oak – to emphasize the representative character of these interiors.
Completion Process
The final installation was carried out in parallel with the building handover, which presented a number of organizational challenges. Various craftsmen and trades were working on site simultaneously, yet despite the busy environment, we successfully completed everything according to plan.
